A BILL to amend article three, chapter eighteen of the code of
West Virginia, one thousand nine hundred thirty-one, as
amended, by adding thereto a new section, designated section
twelve, relating to the wearing of hats by students.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:
That article three, chapter eighteen of the code of West
Virginia, one thousand nine hundred thirty-one, as amended, be
amended by adding thereto a new section, designated section
twelve, to read as follows:
ARTICLE 3. STATE SUPERINTENDENT OF SCHOOLS.
§18-3-12. Hats permitted to be worn on school property by
students when not in a classroom.
All students in West Virginia elementary schools or high
schools shall be permitted to wear hats on school property when
not in a classroom.
NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to permit students towear hats on school property when not in a classroom.
